Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) Gross Status
T&M Engineering is registered as having received the Gross Status accreditation from HMRC, which entitles the company to pay (sub)contractors in accord with legislative guidelines dictated by the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). A unique facet of the industry, CIS regulations dictate that self-employed workers in the sector pay a proportion of their income tax via a monthly CIS submission, which is typically 20% of gross earnings. As with all HMRC regulations, there are variances to the scheme, but in essence, all CIS-registered workers are required to pay over a fifth of their gross income on a monthly basis.

CIS300 submissions are administered transparently and with full visibility to the worker, plus any third-party organisations within the supply chain including recruiters and hirers. Paying workers through the CIS Gross Status scheme ensures that their end of year tax affairs are fully in order, and that they will not be subject to any unforeseen liabilities.
